Its my birthday, woo yay!

Look, a goat with wellies! this post was totaly worth it!

"The human body"

I thought I dreampt this, but its real. One day I was looking inside a bookshop and I came across this really bizzare Book on the human body. I never bought it but years later I found it again in a random charity shop and decided to get it.

Sufficed to say it looks like it was illustrated by a madman. Random landscapes of human flesh with innocent children playing amongst human organs melting into the scenery. Here are the four most striking things I noticed. Sadly my scanner is not quite big enough to catch all of it.

I need to get a root canal next monday.

Gag me with every spoon ever made.

Another change...

Changed the Fingers and toes to be blue to increase focus on the eyes of this creature.

See? There is always room for improvement. Incidentally the image I posted on the last blog entry is now out of date, again. No regrets however, this looks way better!

Update on plant guys!

Heres how they stand at the moment. There may still be more things to tweak with the blue guy, but this is how I like them currently.

I just removed those ball things from the hips and shablammo! This also helped me make it look better colored in

I did a few other things to make it gel better, namely I made the eyes the same as the fingers, toes and the spikes that jut out of its back.

Now all I have to fix is the underwater Blue creature.

I'm not sure how much needs changing to be honest, both color schemes I designed for it don't look quite right, but at the same time I need to make it recognisably blue. I'll possibly need to find a better plant design. One thing I may consider doing is removing the wibbly fin bits from the stalks, so it looks more like a reed.

I guess we'll just have to see!

Plant Dudes update!

I've changed the pumpkin guy!

Suffice to say he's a lot more firey now, which is nice.


There are still things I would want to change about this, mainly I need a better means of scanning in the drawings. My solution is simple however, just use higher resolution images and scans. The composition can be better too, but mostly this was to get the designs looking right. The only design  that I entirely like however is the mushroom guy. The greens have funny hips that I don't know what to do with and I'm not sure about the color scheme used on the blues. Another thing they lack is a single unifying feature that would make them look less like seperate entities.

I'll dwell on it for a while.
